Government, as is common under the control of a tax-and-spend mindset, has quickly become bloated and inefficient. Power corrupts and greed accelerates the misguided appropriation of taxpayer dollars, more so today than at any other time in the history of our great country. America needs to be returned to its first principles, operating as a limited government for the betterment of its citizens (not politicians). It doesn’t take an economic genius to figure out that, given an aggressive posture against American capitalism and small businesses, more and more American jobs are following companies overseas to less hostile business climates. Barack Hussein Obama is a socialist, in his words and deeds. His associations with questionable individuals and organizations, both historically and today, are indicative of radical underpinnings and a disequilibrium with our American heritage and cultural values. He has a chip on his shoulder and intends to impose reparations upon society for perceived past indiscretions through a redistributive mentality.
Today I added “My Other Car Is A Clunker” to my Power To The People gallery at Zazzle. While the “cash for clunkers” program has been hailed by some as a success, many faults contest such acclaim. Why should Americans continue to bail out the automotive industry? The program is wasteful, as salvaged car engines are still valuable yet are needlessly destroyed – we shouldn’t be paying people to destroy productive capital. Such cars bypass the part recyclers and go straight to the salvage yards, while dollars are being driven by a powerful corn lobby espousing the mantle of renewable fuels and energy independence, into inefficient ethanol based “green” manufacturing aspirations. Participants buying cars through this program are simply adjusting their purchasing schedules, and will not be in the market, subsequently, for an extended period of time. Meanwhile, many dealerships are having to wait for government reimbursement.
