Doing the same thing and expecting a different result…Obamanomics has failed and will fail again. Government doesn’t create wealth, and promises to keep unemployment below 8% (now sustained at over 10%) by committing $787 billion in government spending (now, ballooned to $850 billion) have produced very little ‘bang for the buck’. The more people that are unemployed, the greater a collective reliance on government; hence, a more powerful executive branch. Government, as is common under the control of a tax-and-spend mindset, has quickly become bloated and inefficient. Power corrupts and greed accelerates the misguided appropriation of taxpayer dollars, more so today than at any other time in the history of our great country. America needs to be returned to its first principles, operating as a limited government for the betterment of its citizens (not politicians). It doesn’t take an economic genius to figure out that, given an aggressive posture against American capitalism and small businesses, more and more American jobs are following companies overseas to less hostile business climates. Where are the jobs? In Obama’s economy, given a demonstrated strong propensity to demonize capitalism and undermine small businesses, many jobs have headed south to Mexico. And, if the POTUS has his way, some of the remaining job opportunities will become unavailable to Americans pursuant to amnesty (a.k.a., immigration reform). Obama’s stimulus package is a failure, much as history has shown other such governmental interventions to have been, and unemployment has now reached a 26-year high of 10.2%. Although Obama had promised Americans that, were his plans of a massive deficit spending exploitation to be approved by Congress, that the unemployment rate would not exceed 8%, this broken promise is simply another in a long line of lies by an administration in over its head.
